Colleen from Modern Eye Wear shared about business relations and negotiations, most important thing to remember is to never say NO, make sure to listen to what the person is saying then ask enough questions to be sure what I think the customer said is what is actually being said.  Then try and see if there is solution that might not be exactly what is being requested but still will work temporarily.  So if I can resolve the problem then try to refer or find some other solution or refer to someone else.

Our presenter this week is Marcela Sicolo of MgM Carpet cleaning discussed a new client in Laguna Beach with 6000 sq. ft. area of tile surfaces going to the beach.  The customer was so happy they are now on a maintenance schedule.  Talked about the advantage of a truck mounted equipment, and that their specialty is to have repeat business, and to schedule the cleaning every 6 months.  Marcela Showed the different types of carpet. Normal process is to inspect the carpet and find out if there is any special treatment needed before cleaning, vacuum, move furniture, after cleaning recommend vacuuming every day or at least every other day, all carpet companies recommend using hot water to clean the carpet, can also treat carpet after cleaning with Scotch guard or something similar.  Will give a free estimate and products are “green”.

Cheryl Carrera Realtor Presented today and gave us a handout about “Missing Mortgage Payments” and also an American Lifestyles Magazine only 5800 homes on the market in Orange County, forcolures are still hanging over the market because the banks are not coming on the market yet.  Rentals are at a premium right now, there are more people that are looking for places to live.  Shared about an 840 sq. ft. condo in Rancho Santa Margarita that sold for 187,000.
